What you will be doing:


Develop Comprehensive Product Documentation

  • Create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our SaaS platform & suite of applications, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, FAQs, etc. – with a high degree of quality in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Research, develop and write best-in-class documentation for a software/service user audience – in a “customer-facing way” (easy to understand and follow for both technical AND non-technical readers to understand).
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance of technical content.

Manage Documentation Lifecycle

  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guidelines to ensure consistency across all documentation.
  • Update existing documentation to reflect product updates, new features, and improvements.
  • Maintain content of online help portal by building and testing content for multiple product components and releases.
  • Respond to documented feedback messages in a timely manner, implement changes to product documentation based on this feedback, and report top issues to manager.

Technical Writing Leadership

  • Lead efforts to improve the overall quality of technical documentation by implementing best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Mentor and coach junior writers or contributors on technical writing principles and methodologies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and serve as a review resource for content such as product help articles and training materials.
  • Understand technical products and calculate effort estimates for the tasks assigned.
  • Apply critical thinking outside direct areas of ownership and provide input to improve the product, content and authoring/publishing tools.

Content Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with product roadmap milestones and releases.
  • Work closely with Product Management and Marketing teams to synchronize documentation with product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute additions and updates to internal tool and process documentation.
  • Create high-quality documentation about ZINFI products, how-to articles, wiki’s and other publications for end-users, software engineers, administrators, etc.
  • Create compelling storyboards for the internal animation team to create videobased help documents.

User Experience and Feedback

  • Conduct usability tests and gather feedback from users to continually refine and improve documentation clarity and effectiveness.
  • Analyze user behavior metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing documentation accessibility and usability.

Documentation Tools and Technologies

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement documentation tools and technologies to streamline documentation processes and enhance collaboration.
  • Ensure documentation is easily accessible through appropriate platforms (e.g.,knowledge base, help center, developer portal).

Regulatory and Compliance Documentation

  • Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and legal guidelines as applicable.

About your experience:

  • Preferable experience or knowledge in DITA/XML, HTML
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and track progress on complex deliverables and work well with the larger organization.
  • Capable of working individually or as a team member.
  • Ability to learn and work with a variety of authoring and publishing tools such as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proven ability to understand and synthesize product and technical information.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality documentation under tight deadlines with changing product requirements.
  • Communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Graphics and design skills or curriculum development a plus, but not required.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Excellent Time and Project management skills
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Highly organized and strongly self-motivated with the ability to multi-task activities
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and strong problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Proven experience of writing technical content and as subject matter expert
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation and paying attention to detail.
  • Quickly grasp complex product concepts and make them easy to understand.
  • Guest blogging experience is a plus.
  • Have experience in using various online content writing and monitoring tools.
  • Candidates will be required to show case some original write-ups.

Education:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in any software, engineering or writing discipline – preferably I.T./Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related area is preferred.
