What you will be doing:

Design, develop, and maintain SQL Azure databases to support our UCM SaaS products.
Analyze and optimize database performance by monitoring and fine-tuning database configuration, query execution plans, indexing strategies, and storage allocation.
Develop and implement efficient T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers to optimize data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of database components with the application layer.
Monitor database performance, diagnose and resolve database-related issues, and implement necessary improvements.
Assist in capacity planning and forecasting for database growth and resource allocation.
Ensure data security and integrity through proper backup, recovery, and access control policies.
Continuously research and stay up to date with the latest SQL Azure features and best practices to enhance database performance and reliability.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database systems, processes, and procedures.
Migrate and maintain data between on-premises SQL Server and SQL Azure databases.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in SQL Azure database development and administration.
Strong knowledge of T-SQL programming, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and query optimization.
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is a plus.
Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Functions is a plus.
Experience working with large-scale, high-transaction volume database systems.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, is a plus.
