Finance Manager | Kolkata, India
What you will be doing:
- Work in conjunction with the Management team to draft, monitor and assess the business and development plan;
- Provide and interpretfinancial information;
- Monitor and interpret cash flows and predicting future trends; analyze change and advise accordingly;
- Proactively follow-up collections, invoicing and accountsreceivables
- Formulate strategic and long-term business plans;
- Research and report on factors influencing business performance and analyze market trends;
- Develop financial management mechanismsthat minimize financialrisk;
- Proactively conduct reviews with leadership team and evaluation for cost-reduction and higher revenue opportunities;
- Manage company’sfinancial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
- Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out;
- Develop external relationships with suitable contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as the tax authorities(in country and out country);
- Manage global and regional accounts and statutory matter with accounting firms and auditors.
- Produce accurate financialreports within specific deadlines;
- Manage invoice and payments global vendors, contractors, employees
- Work with global sales team to ensure all the invoices send out with in time as per forecast.
- Manage organizations budgets;
- Arrange (if required) for new sources of finance for a company’s debt facilities;
- Supervise and mentor team members;
- Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation;
- Preparation of financial project plan, key milestones and deliverables
- Preparation and monitoring of budgets and client billing
- Exposure to financial systems and tools is beneficial (e.g., Tally, MS office, Quick books etc.)
- Capable of critical thinking and identifying areas of opportunities for risk and improvements
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing and training team members; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising their performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Undertake such other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of this post to ensure the
effective delivery and development
Desired Skills & Experience
About your experience and skillsets:
- M Com/ MBA- Finance / CS/CFF/ICWAI beneficial
- Minimum 8- 10 years consulting/industry experience isrequired
- Good understanding of key business and finance processes (close process, procure-to- pay, order-tocash, revenue etc.)
- Exposure to US/Europe/Singapore financial / accounting environment will be preferred
- Experience in helping companies identify improvements in key process areas and in assisting to implement those improvements
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Financial/Accounting consulting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Advance Microsoft Office skills
- Proficiency in the English language
- Proven administrative, leadership and management ability in the areas of strategic planning and organizational development.
